Fox Reels – The Fox Stratos
Fox Fishing Tackle has become very well respected among professional anglers. The Fox Reels range has also gained a deserved reputation particularly among carp anglers. The Stratos Reel is part of Fox’s carp tackle range, and there are a variety of different features and versions of the reel. The array of Fox Stratos Reels includes the 4000, the 7000, and the Fox Stratos 10000 which are baitrunner / freespool reels with varying spool sizes. Slightly smaller than its cousin the Stratos 10000, the Fox Stratos FS7000E reel is ideal for controller fishing on smaller venues as well as being diverse enough for use as a specimen tench and barbel reel. An improved slower oscillation system results in superlative line lay, and Fox have packed this reel with other features….

Fox Reels may not be the most expansive in range, but the reels they do offer, particularly Carp Reels such as the Fox Stratos have earned their place in many carp anglers gear. Along with this the Fox tackle range now incorporates a host of other equipment including rods, bite alarms, and advanced terminal tackle. As our Fox Fishing Tackle page develops we will look to bring this equipment into our range and build a wider collection of Fox Tackle to cover more needs.
Fox Tackle – Origins
Fox International have been producing quality fishing tackle for over 40 years. The founder, and still head of the company, Cliff Fox, started producing the earliest Fox Fishing Tackle from his small workshop in Essex. The first products were fish measurement rulers! In 1967 the first officially branded Fox tackle product came onto the shelves, a metal baitdropper. Since this time the company have continued to produce quality tackle, along with expanding their collection. Presently the Fox Reels and tackle range is among the best in the business and continues to expand.
